While PoS operates on the idea of staking, PoW entails competing to solve a challenging mathematical problem to get the opportunity to verify the block. Because the two systems operate on fundamentally different principles, PoS can perform the same purpose as PoW while using only a tiny amount of energy. ## ADA - The native token

The maximum quantity of ADA, the native token of Cardano, is 45 billion tokens. Cardano analysis reveals as that 34.4B ADA are in circulation as of November 2022.

In total, 25.927 billion ADA were sold to investors during the genesis block distribution. Of that sum, 5,185,414,108 ADA, or 20%, were distributed to the three significant corporations (IOHK, EMURGO, and Cardano Foundation).

As a result, during Cardano's official launch, 31,112,484,646 ADA was available, with a total of 13,887,515,354 ADA set aside as the reserve for staking incentivisation.

## Staking ADA

Pool operators, also known as validators, charge a commission for their operations, which include running staking pools. Delegators receive staking rewards based on how much they have pledged. Staking income is automatically distributed and compounded by the protocol every five days - one epoch.

There is no lock-up time, and delegators can choose and delegate to any staking pool. There is no unbounding period; stakers can withdraw their payouts whenever they want.

However, Cardano's analysis reveals that it takes three epochs, or about 15-20 days, for the original stake to start yielding returns.

The treasury receives 20% of all income earned, and the expansion rate is currently set at 0.3%. The delegator makes according to their stake amount minus the commission charge, depending on how well the pool performs.
At the current pace, delegators might anticipate a total annual percentage yield of about 5%.

## Cardano analysis: eUtxo is superior to account-based architecture

For example, if there are 100 million ABC coins in circulation and each is trading for $1, then the market cap of ABC would be $100 million.
Why is market capitalisation important? The market cap provides a good way to compare different cryptocurrencies. For example, say there are two coins with identical circulating supply and price.

 However, one coin has a much higher total supply than the other. Which coin do you think would have the larger market cap?

The answer is obvious: the coin with the higher total supply would have a larger market cap. Therefore, when comparing two cryptocurrencies, it's important to consider both circulating supply and total supply.

Market capitalisation is also a good way to assess a particular cryptocurrency's risk/reward ratio. Generally speaking, the higher the market cap, the more stable and less risky the investment. This isn't always true, but it's a good general rule.

What is Market Cap in Crypto?

The BNB Chain-based passive income protocol EverGrow coin price surged in the last week of August due to the news of an ecosystem token launch.

The new token, LUCRO, is intended to enhance EverGrow's ecosystem, which presently includes a decentralised exchange, or DEX, an [NFT marketplace](/news/article/solana-nft-marketplace), a social media platform, a crypto wallet, and a Metaverse.

The sharp EverGrow price rise of more than 40% in the previous seven days, as of 2 September, was a welcome relief for EGC investors. They had watched the cryptocurrency token lose about 80% of its market value since 2022.

## Evergrow coin - a form of passive income 

EverGrow is a passive income platform built on the BNB Chain that compensates holders of its native token with [stablecoins](/news/article/kuji-coin). 

EverGrow pays its holders in BUSD, a Binance-based stablecoin. Transaction costs from buying, selling, and transferring EGC create rewards. According to the project's whitepaper, 8% of all transaction fees are redistributed to holders, with the remaining 2% going to a liquidity pool on the Binance-based DEX Pancake Swap.

An additional 4% of transaction fees are split evenly between repurchase programmes and project development. The protocol also has an "anti-whale scheme" that restricts any sale value to 0.125% of the circulating supply.

## Evergrow coin price - What is EverGrow? 

According to CoinMarketCap, EverGrow's native token was the 3,250th largest cryptocurrency as of 2 September, with a self-reported market valuation of $91m although the egc price fluctuates. 

According to their website, awards are computed based on the amount of EGC held and the daily volume. 
BUSD, when specific volume criteria are met, is distributed; low transaction volume may result in a longer threshold trigger period. The token features a buyback and burn option; more than 50% of EGC passed to a burn address. The initial maximum quantity of the companies' tokens was one quadrillion.

EverGrow's repurchase reserve amasses Binance Coin (BNB), used to purchase EGC on the open market and transfer it to a burn address. As previously stated, EverGrow allocates 2% of transaction fees to its repurchase reserve. 

Based on [BscScan](https://bscscan.com/token/0xC001BBe2B87079294C63EcE98BdD0a88D761434e#balances) on-chain statistics, around 139,800 addresses possessed EGC on 2 September, 2022. EverGrow's burn address had approximately 53% of EGC's maximal supply. The highest EGC-holding address had 51.13 trillion tokens, accounting for 5.1% of the entire supply before the burn. As of 2 September, 2022, the second richest EGC-holding address had around 3.4% of the token's total supply before the burn.

## The action of EverGrow coin price 

EGC interest peaked a few weeks after its inception when EGC token transfers began to surge. On 7 October, 2021, less than a fortnight after the debut of the EverGrow Protocol, EGC was selling for $0.00000006575, according to CoinMarketCap data. As per BscScan data, EGC token transfers increased in the last week of October 2021, peaking at over 70,000 transfer counts on 1 November, 2021, the same day EGC reached an all-time high of $0.000003379.

Since then, the amount of token transfers on their protocol has decreased, and the price of EGC has followed suit. As of 2 September, 2022, EGC had lost around 78%. EGC reduced losses by climbing 37% in the previous seven days.

EGC is one of several coins experiencing unfavourable price behaviour due to the risk-off shift in market opinion toward cryptocurrencies. This year, the crypto veterans [BTC](/news/article/bitcoin-price-uk) and ETH have dropped by more than 50%.

## EverGrow coin price prediction for 2022

Longer term, algorithm-based forecasting firm [Wallet Investor](https://walletinvestor.com/forecast/evergrowcoin-prediction-data) was optimistic about the firms' price projection for 2022, predicting that the EGC token will trade at an average of $1.122 by the end of 2022.

The fundamental value proposition of Loopring is the cutting-edge encryption it includes on its platform. Some proponents feel zk-rollups are promising because they use a well-known type of encryption known as zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP). Instead of providing the facts, ZKP permits a computer programme to claim it. Wonderland is an Olympus DAO fork built on the Avalanche Network. Its ecosystem works on the Proof-of-reserve (PoR) mechanism. 

PoR requires bond reserves for validation. If you own different tokens through which you can mint TIME, you can become a validator.
Though the DAO is built on the Avalanche Network, it has cross-chain property. That's why it is compatible with various other tokens. TIME is distinct from most stablecoins pegged with fiat currencies. It gets its consistency and stability through the basket of assets.

The claims of stability and consistency have fallen short for the project. The ecosystem's major coin, TIME, is in shambles. Also, the TIME-AVAX LP and wAVAX coins have been discontinued and cannot be used for minting TIME.

#### 1. The buyback strategy
wMEMO is a wrapped stablecoin which has a set value. As its price started to fall below this value, the firm opted for the buyback strategy. To increase the cost of wMEMO, the firm used its treasury fund to buy the coins from the market. Temporarily, there was an improvement in its value. However, it did not work well in the longer run. The bearish market continuously affected the coin's price.

#### 2. Overleveraging & Investors liquidating their assets
Secondly, as the buyback strategy was public, many investors joined the campaign to make profits. They took loans to purchase more wMEMOs and pledged their existing coins as security. So, when the value of wMEMO continued to decrease, investors liquidated their funds to pay off debts. With more liquidation, the price dropped further. This jeopardised the firm's financial state as the overall debt constantly increased. 
The debts also caused a delay in the airdrops. Airdrops are a percentage of coins acquired as a venture capital fund. Three airdrops needed to be distributed among investors between December and January. However, all of them got delayed, causing more suspicion among investors. 

#### 3. CFO Sifu's controversial background
One of the significant blows for Wonderland crypto was the controversial background of its CFO. Investors started to lose confidence as its pseudo-anonymous CFO, Sifu, turned out to be Michael Patryn. He is a convicted felon for the $100 million scam through a Canadian exchange. Patryn disappeared with the money in 2019 and launched Wonderland in 2021.

Patryn also worked with the lending firm, Abracadabra and MIM for this project. Meanwhile, Abracadabra Money founder, Daniele Sestagalli, declared that he knew about Patryn. If bulls push the price above $23,648, the pair might reach $24,668. Bears will have a short-term advantage if the price falls below $22,400. The pair could fall to the uptrend line of solid support.

## Trending Crypto Coins: FLOW/USDT

Flow (FLOW) broke out of a tight trading range on August 4. This signals accumulation and a fresh uptrend. Bears are trying to arrest the uptrend near $3, but bulls haven't lost much ground. Traders aren't booking profits after the recent rally. This means that bulls have the upper hand as the 20-day EMA of $2.07 has risen, and the RSI is nearly overbought.

If the value goes below the 20-EMA, this pair might fall to the 50% Fibonacci retracement level of $2.41 and then to $2.27. A break below this level could favour bears and send the pair under $2.00.

Theta Network (THETA) broke and closed above $1.55 on August 5, signalling a bullish range resolution. On August 6, bears sought to lower the price below the breakout mark, but bulls resisted. The 20-day EMA of $1.39 is rising, and the RSI is bullish, favouring buyers.

If bulls keep THETA/USDT over $1.65, a new rally toward $2.10 could begin. If bulls overcome this resistance, the pair might climb to $2.60. Bears must pull prices below $1.55 to invalidate this bullish perspective.

If so, aggressive bulls may get trapped, and the pair may decline to moving averages. The four-hour chart indicates that bulls bought the decline to the 20-EMA. Both four-hour moving averages are rising, and the RSI is near overbought, indicating bullish momentum.
